Startup Mason 2012 Kickoff

StartUp Mason Kickoff Events 2012 StartUp Mason will host three 45 minute open houses/kickoff events this month:

January 17th (Fairfax, 9:00 am), January 19th (Arlington Campus, 4:00 pm) and January 25th (Fairfax, 4:00 pm)

Come learn about StartUp Mason, the new peer-2-peer entrepreneurship group. Join others dedicated to advancing an entrepreneurial project (could be a startup, a social venture, or a new initiative within an existing organization). Come to the kickoff and learn about this one semester program (no fees, no credits, but an opportunity to learn and create).

StartUp Mason is open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of GMU. No "entrepreneurship" experience is required, just an open mind and willingness to learn with others. StartUp Mason participants will:

• Learn and use leading edge entrepreneurship methods such as Lean Startup and Customer Development (created and used at Stanford University) and Business Model Canvas.
• Manage entrepreneurial projects, develop metrics, and report learnings to ensure tangible progress through the process.
• Work with other entrepreneurs in monthly peer-2-peer feedback sessions and work with mentor during monthly mentor sessions.
• Join a growing community of entrepreneurial minded individuals and organizations throughout Mason and the DC Metro. StartUp Mason is dedicated to building strong entrepreneurs throughout the GMU community.
